Crack Filling and Sealing

Concrete Services

Crack filling and sealing are words often used interchangeably; however, different meanings are associated with these terms. The process of “going over” cracks previously filled with other types of sealant is described as crack sealing. Filling an open crack in asphalt or concrete, which is wide enough to allow water to penetrate, is called crack filling.

Proper cleaning of the area is essential before sealing or filling it with a melted hot rubber product that penetrates openings and seals the surface. This process is typically performed on commercial parking lots and roadways, but it is not used for sealing cracks in driveways or walkways.

What We Offer

The most important and cost-effective preventative maintenance you can do is to have cracks filled or sealed with hot rubber sealant.
This will help prevent water from getting beneath your hard surface and into the sub-base, nearly ALWAYS CAUSING DAMAGE by causing the area to contract and expand. Water beneath concrete or asphalt will always cause problems and shorten the life of the surface.
By preventing water penetration, you will absolutely prolong the life of your pavement, lessening the need for extensive repairs and costs.
