Concrete Services
Crack filling and sealing are words often used interchangeably; however, different meanings are associated with these terms. The process of “going over” cracks previously filled with other types of sealant is described as crack sealing. Filling an open crack in asphalt or concrete, which is wide enough to allow water to penetrate, is called crack filling.
Proper cleaning of the area is essential before sealing or filling it with a melted hot rubber product that penetrates openings and seals the surface. This process is typically performed on commercial parking lots and roadways, but it is not used for sealing cracks in driveways or walkways.
